
Governor Nwifuru Marks 50th Birthday With Church Donation
Ebonyi State Governor Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has celebrated his 50th birthday with the donation of a church building to the people of Edukwuachi Agbaja, Izzi Local Government of the state.
Nwifuru while interacting with Journalist immediately after the donation said as he celebrates his 50th birthday anniversary, it signifies that he is no longer a boy but a man.
During the dedication of Emmanuel Catholic Parish, Edukwachi, Agbaja community, Governor Nwifuru said that the gesture was a testament to God’s faithfulness, grace, and blessings in his life, family and the lives of Ebonyi people.
“From the very beginning of my journey in public service, I have always acknowledged that all power belongs to God.
“The ability to lead, the wisdom to govern, and the strength to serve come only from God. It is in recognition of His goodness that I resolved to build this house of worship.
“Today, as we dedicate this sanctuary, I pray that it becomes a beacon of faith, love, and hope for the people.
“As a government, we recognize the role of the Church in shaping morals, promoting, championing peace, and guiding society towards righteousness.
“It is this singular role of the church that the society has not completely been overrun by evil.
“This is the reason we will continue to support religious institutions in their divine mission of spreading love, justice, and equity, moral rectitude and above all, holiness, he said.
Earlier, the Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese, His Lordship Peter Nworie Chukwu expressed joy over the kind gesture of Governor Nwifuru who has donated the church to Mark his birthday.
“I must tell you, the entire Catholic faithfuls are very happy about this kind gesture of yours by donating this magnificent parish building to us”. He added. Nworie invoked God’s blessings upon the Governor
Nworie-Chukwu prayed that God would continue to protect and preserve him at ensuring good governance for the people.
