Dr Ben Uruchi Odoh is the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ebonyi State where Right Honourable Dr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru holds sway as Governor.
This is contained in the APC chairman’s message which he personally signed and made available to the Press.
“I am highly pleased to felicitate the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ebonyi State, Dr Ben Uruchi Odoh on his emergence as Chairman of the Body Of States Attorneys General (BOSAG).
“The eminent and incorruptible eye of justice, the cheering news on your election as the number one member of BOSAG comprising an assemblage of highly revered Hon Attorneys General from the 36 states at the National Judicial Institute in Abuja did not come to me as a surprise because from the cradle, you meticulously marked your territory as an thoroughbred and outstanding legal luminary.
“This enviable and prestigious feat of yours would create a veritable platform for your advocacy on the deployment of restorative against retributive justice to thrive better in adjudication in the Nation’s judicial system. Indeed, your ideology of mainstreaming fraternity with a view of having a corrective rather than punitive judicial system has come to fruition in Nigeria.
“My distinguished brother and friend, Dr. Odoh, you are an illustrious son of Ebonyi State and I am using this privilege to appreciate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of our beloved state, RT Hon Bldr Dr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru who first prepared you for the national assignment through your appointment as the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice under his watch.
“Let this elevation spur you to use the legal frame to uphold the right and dignity of persons irrespective of status or above any other considerations outside the law.
“Without a glimpse of contemplation, His Excellency, the Governor deserves a special recognition in this momentous achievement as your loyalty continues to be with him and the people he commissioned you to serve.
“Congratulations are most appropriate at this time”. END
