APC Ebonyi Chairman Decries Killing of Former Deputy Governor’s Father, Calls for Justice
Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, has condemned in strong terms the abduction and killing of His Royal Highness, Eze Francis Igwe, who is the father of the immediate past Deputy Governor of the state, Barr Eric Kelechi Igwe, Ph.D.
Chief Emegha made his position known during a condolence visit to the bereaved family, where he described the incident as a cruel and barbaric act that should not be tolerated in any civilized society.
He extended his heartfelt sympathy to the family of the former deputy governor and the entire community over the painful loss, praying for strength and comfort for them in this difficult time.
The APC chairman called on security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure that those responsible for the heinous crime are identified, arrested and made to face justice.
Emegha also expressed shock over the alleged involvement of the party’s publicity secretary in the incident, stating that the development came as a surprise to the party’s leadership. He emphasized that the APC does not support or tolerate criminal activities under any circumstance.
He assured that the party would give full cooperation to security agencies in the ongoing investigation, stressing that anyone found guilty will face the full weight of the law.
While urging the public to remain calm, Emegha encouraged everyone to allow security agencies carry out a thorough investigation, reaffirming the party’s commitment to peace, security, and the protection of lives and property in Ebonyi State.
