Ebonyi APC Begs Voters In View of Saturday Polls

Despite not having a strong opposition, Ebonyi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is still crossing the Ts and doting the Is to ensure it records overwhelming victory in the local government elections this Saturday.

This is revealed through a message entitled “public service announcement” signed and made available to the press by party’s state chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha.

In the publication, Chief acknowledged the fact that the recent defection of members of the opposition party into APC has further crippled them.

He urged the general public especially eligible voters to come out en masse to appreciate the good governance of Governor Nwifuru by doing the needful on the D day stressing that the act would also give them the impetus to question the grassroots leaders peradventure they decide not to deliver on their campaign promises.

The message reads: “public service announcement”

“As council elections in Ebonyi State hold on 20th of this month, I wish to sincerely appeal to the general public especially eligible voters to come out en masse to participate in the exercise.

“To say that Ebonyi State is predominantly APC especially with the coming on board of political juggernauts in the likes of Former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim; Labour Party Governorship Candidate, Sir Arch Edward Nkwegu; Senator Obinna Ogba among others, may be stating the obvious but the endorsement at the polling units still means a lot.

“From the view point of the momentous achievements of our dear father and Governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru FNIOB, GGCEHF, the Saturday polls will be an opportunity for the people to reciprocate his gestures by not allowing voter apathy to ruin the day.

“Exercising your franchise even when opposition is not visibly glaring gives one an audacity to question the grassroot leaders without a lackadaisical attitude when things are done against the wishes of the masses.

“Therefore, I urge all of us to once again demonstrate our commitment and solidarity to our God given leader and Governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru FNIOB, GGCEHF by besieging the polling units with our voter cards to give the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), 100 percent of the ballot”.
