Ebonyi Maiden Matriculation: College Of Nursing Offers HND In Nursing And Midwifery

Royal College Of Nursing Sciences, Ezzangbo in Ebonyi State Available

The newly established Royal College Of Nursing Sciences, Ezzangbo in Ebonyi State says it offers a four years program on Nursing and Midwifery.

The founder and Chairman of the Governing Board of the College, Prince Ndubuisi Onwe stated this during the official opening and maiden matriculation ceremony of the school in Ezzangbo, Ohaukwu local government area of the state.

Prince Onwe who was a former commissioner for education between 2011 to 2015 in the state noted that the college has been accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria stressing that the institution mobilizes graduates for National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC) without delay.

However, the college which is located in a serene and secured environment has both qualified lecturers and the state of the art facilities to inculcate a holistic education in the students.

“To the matriculants, I say a big congratulations to you all. Our college, the Royal College of Nursing Sciences Ezzangbo Ebonyi State shall give you the very best that nursing education can offer. We pledge that our college shall deliver on her vision and mission. We shall make you the best among the best. Your family will be happy and rejoice for choosing to access the nursing education that we have made available here.

“To the glory of God, we are starting as a college of nursing that avails our students High National Diploma (HND) after four years of studies here. They will also have deep knowledge and licence in both Nursing and Midwifery (RN and RM) as approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. They will also be mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on graduation. This is a unique and topnotch innovation to the eternal credit of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria led by her Registrar Secretary , Alahaji Faruk Umar Abubakar.

“I am glad that we are starting with full imprimatur of the Council and with God on our side; and with the support and goodwill of our leaders and parents who have gathered here today, I am convinced that we shall make waves in our chosen profession. It is a call to service and we have accepted it utterly. We pledge to give you the best. Congratulations once more”.
