Ebonyi Workers Salute Governor Nwifuru
The streets of Abakaliki the Ebonyi State capital was electrified as thousands of workers embarked on solidarity movement to appreciate Governor Francis Nwifuru for the lavish treatment they received during the yuletide season.
On receiving the excited workers in his office, Governor Francis Nwifuru said he was also overwhelmed by the solidarity and promised to continue to place premium on their welfare as captured in his people’s charter of needs agenda.
“Sincerely I want to tell you that I am challenged by the level of appreciation you have shown me today”, Governor Nwifuru remarked.
Governor Nwifuru also reaffirmed his resolve to deliver on his social contracts with the Ebonyi people, stressing that his administration would always give accelerated attention to the welfare of workers in the state.
Some of the workers who recounted how the payment of one hundred thousand naira Christmas bonus to every worker irrespective of level by the Governor helped to cushion the scutching economic realities brought about by fuel subsidy removal pledge not to disappoint him in the cause of discharging their duties as civil servants.
