Efforts To Revolutionize Ebonyi State Underway Says Gov Nwifuru

….Owners of Affected Properties at Vanco will be Adequately Compensated

Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru says his administration is not leaving anything to chance to revolutionize the state through industrialization in order to create more job opportunities among other benefits.

Governor Nwifuru stated this at a thanksgiving service to mark his one year in office at the Government House Chapel, Abakaliki, the capital of the state.

Emphasizing that all the projects so far executed under his administration have positive impacts on the people, the Governor revealed that the revamped state’s pipes production company has opened several economic doors beyond the state stressing that more are underway.

“We have revitalized the pipes production company and it is our intention to get more machines to make it fully operational, including the State Recycling Plant . It is part of the reasons for the supplementary budget.”

Similarly, Governor Nwifuru gave an assurance that adequate compensation would be paid to those whose properties were affected by the ongoing construction of a flyover at the Vanco junction.

While dropping a hint that he would approach the State House of Assembly for an approval of a supplementary budget, the Governor stressed that it would enable him to undertake and complete some key projects such as the Olympics Stadium and vanco junction flyover.

He further disclosed that his leadership has so far ensured effective implementation this year’s budget hence the supplementary budget would enable him undertake and complete some key projects such as the Olympics Stadium and vanco junction fly over among others.

He attributed his success in the last one year to the grace of God and support of the people

” I am delighted to be here this afternoon. It is not because we are too righteous, but “Because God chose you to work for Him.

“If we are to thank God for what He has done for us, it will not be enough even till next tomorrow.

“I am grateful to God when I look at my background and the incidences behind where I am today. “I appreciate all those that contested the election with me.

“We are thanking God for Ebonyi State. We are very hardworking, respectful, and industrious.

“There is nowhere you will not see Ebonyians in Nigeria”, he said.

In a press release shared by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr Monday Uzor, Nwifuru called on the people to continue to offer their support and prayers for the success of his administration.

The Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki, Most Rev. Peter Nworie Chukwu acknowledged the modest achievements of the Governor in the last one year especially in the area of human capital development.

The Bishop who was represented by monsignor Felix Onwukaike appealed to the Governor to also ensure the maintenance of structures put in place by his predecessor.
