Governor Nwifuru Empowers Ebonyi Journalists with 1m Naira Each

Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has empowered 60 journalists with one million naira each to less than burden of the current economic situation in the country on them and their families.

This is part of the ongoing 1.3 billion naira empowerment scheme Governor Nwifuru floated shortly after the nationwide protest which the organisers tagged “end hunger and bad governance” in Nigeria ended without Ebonyi people getting involved.

Recall that the Governor at an event in Abakaliki pleaded with the youths and other interest groups in the state not to participate in the August protest to avert dangers adding that he is committed to ameliorating their plights with a promise to give the citizens sustainable and enviable means of livelihood.

Our inside source who would not want to be quoted revealed that Governor Nwifuru who has demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication towards the growth and development of the state and her people magnanimously dolled out the fund which they have all been credited through the bank.

Some other pressmen who preferred to be anonymous poured encomiums on the Governor describing his as a compassionate father, prayer answered and top-notch leader presently in Nigeria. They added that the empowerment was a promise he made to them while interacting with him during his 2024 new yam festival at his country home.

Ebonyians including people living with disabilities, members of youth organizations, faith based organisations, Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) and others are also smiling to the bank at this time as each receives a credit alert of one million naira.

Furthermore, RT Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is the only Governor in the South East region of the country. that is paying civil servants the new minimum wage of 70 naira which labour reached with the federal government.
