Independence: Ebonyi APC Boss Salutes Leaders
Today is 1st October. Today in history 64 years ago, the Nigerian Nation got her independence and was liberated from chains of colonialism. Today also in 1996, Ebonyi State was created by General Sani Abacha’s led federal government.
To mark this year’s independence anniversary, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ebonyi State chapter, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has sent a congratulatory message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appreciating his contributions towards building a better nation.

The party boss, Chief Emegha also felicitated the Ebonyi State Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru eulogizing his bravery, perseveration and staunchness in ameliorating the predicaments of the people.
The note he personally signed noted that as Nigerians celebrate 64 years old, Ebonyi State was created 28 years ago.
“As the Nigerian Nation marks her 64th independence anniversary, Ebonyi State joins the celebration as she clocks 28 years of existence.
“On this premise, I, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ebonyi State Chapter on behalf of the party’s officials and her teeming members in the state profoundly felicitate the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his avowed determination to navigate the present challenges bedevilling the nation.
“Your Excellency, let God provide you and your team with the required enablement to continue to build upon the great achievements of our forefathers in the likes of Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe, and Ahmadu Bello who fought and liberated the people of Nigeria from the shackles of colonialism in 1960.
“In a special way, I also write to convey heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru FNIOB, GGCEHF for your firmness of purpose, strength of will and pertinacity which resonate in providing the desired leadership at this time of need.
“Your Excellency, the workaholics and consummate Governor, your implacable bravery, perseveration and staunchness in ameliorating the predicaments of the people have been topnotch. You are uncompromising in bringing succour to good people of the state and visitors alike.
“May the good Lord ceaselessly shower your Excellency, our dear Governor with more grace to build even greater legacies for the development and progress of the good people of the state.
