Bother less because your regular philanthropist, dynamic and youthful personality who enjoys the tutelage of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Right Honourable Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, Hon. Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha and the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state is blazing yet another beautiful trail.
This time around, the initiative “ONE-ON-ONE WITH EMEGHA” does not only have the mandate of His Excellency, Governor Nwifuru but it is in partnership with him to help drive home the “People’s Charter of Needs agenda” in areas of eradicating poverty and stimulating vigorous and sustainable economic activities in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
The laudable empowerment package identifies and equips individuals who are ready to leverage on the various vistas of business opportunities within their reach to eke out a living. Being a gender sensitive and weekly intervention program, domiciled for now in Edda Local Government Area of the State, the pilot scheme registered about twenty six (26) persons drawn equally from the thirteen villages in Edda with each receiving not less than one hundred thousand naira.
Without an iota of doubt, the domino effect of this painstaking and well thought out scheme will definitely help to address both in the short and long term youth restiveness, poverty and rural urban migration amongst other social ills in the state.
Just like other commendable economically action packed strategies the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has launched in barely two months in office, “ONE-ON-ONE WITH EMEGHA” which also has the ful cloak of His Excellency will make the people self reliant, economically balanced and rationally sound. Without mincing words, this laudable initiative will build as well as reinvigorate the spirit of independence and freedom among the people thereby helping them to steer clear from crime and it’s accomplices.
Aside this novalty, the O. Emegha Foundation is still very much alive attending to the needs of students who could not bankroll their academic expenses, lessen the burden of other vulnerable groups including women and children in the state and beyond.
The launch of “ONE-ON-ONE WITH EMEGHA”, a program sponsored by His Excellency, the Governor, Right Honourable Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru held at Chief Ude Emegha Okoro’s Compound, Ocha Ekoli Edda on Friday the 29th day of July, 2023.
