Orji Mergers As Leader Edda Legislative Council: Leaves Promises
Following the inauguration of the newly elected local government chairmen by Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, legislative arm of government at the grassroots have been forming their own structure to ensure that development thrives without delay at the hinterlands.
In view of the foregoing, Rt Hon Orji Uguru Etta who represents the people Nguzu Ward since 2022 has been re-elected for the second time to preside over the legislative arm of Edda local government area.
In his inaugural speech, the Leader of the legislative house, Rt Hon Etta appreciated his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work in sink with the laws establishing their modus operandi in the interest of the people they are representing.
He also solicited prayers of the people in supporting the council area executive arm of government to work in synergy to actualise the ‘Mezie Edda’ agenda which is an integral part of the state government’s policies and programs.
Orji further promised to make his second term in office more engaging, robust and impactful in every reasonable sense.
During the proclamation the chairman of council Prince Chima Presley Ekumankama, enjoined the legislators to always put the interest of the people first while carrying out their official responsibilities and hinted his readiness to work harmoniously.
