Osun State Governor , Ademola Adeleke has organised Career Fair Day to prepare the youth better to embrace the future meaningfully.
The program which was for students, job seekers and other stakeholders, was organized in collaboration with Federal government agencies in the state, through the ministry of Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, held at the Staff Development Centre, Abere.
Speaking at the maiden edition of the program, the representative of the governor who is the Head of Service, Mr Ayanleye Aina noted that the state government is committed to providing an enabling environment for every body stressing that it was put together to provide information and access to employment opportunities.
Speaking further, he said the fair is to give the future generations, a view into the various government parastatals, and what they do, for the youths to identify their area of interest, and make a choice early enough.
Osun government reiterated that it would ensure adequate access to information, empowerment and engagement of youths through its inclusive and good governance agenda for the state.
In his address, the Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Dr Biyi Odunlade said the government has identified areas of interest for the youths, and has broken it into clusters such as education, trade and investment, security, health and employment for inclusiveness.
He also encouraged the participants to take interest in vocational skill by acquiring additional talent that will serve as multiple source of income.
The resource persons from the clusters, enlightened the participants on the benefits of being informed, taking right decision on jobs, and their area of specialization.
