
Women & HIV: Young Scholar, Begs for Fund to Attend Int’l Conference in Spain
…Calls for government and good spirited individuals interventions
A young Nigerian who is an erudite scholar, researcher and pharmacist, Amarachukwu Ugwu is currently at the crossroad as lack of fund may hinder her from attending partial scholarship to participate in an international workshop in Spain on women and HIV 2025.
Amarachukwu who’s research work entitled “managing menopause in HIV, a cross -sectional study on the awareness and interventions of healthcare practitioners In Nigeria teaching hospital” attracted the global attention for the partial scholarship in Spain 2025 is soliciting for funds to embark on the journey.
The young female pharmacist in a brief but solemn interaction with journalists said that paucity of fund is hindering her preparedness for the international workshop in Spain in April with only three weeks to go for the workshop.
Ugwu in tears while narrating her handicap “called on State and local governments, donor agencies, Non governmental Organizations (NGOs), churches, philanthropists, corporate bodies and private individuals to come to her aid to enable her participate in the 2025 global workshop in Spain. An opportunity to excel in the global rating” she noted.
She explained that she is soliciting for $1500 to cover her flight ticket to and fro as other arrangements has been bankrolled by virology education and Secretariat of the workshop, which includes hotel accomodations, documentation and registration was waiver.
The young Ugwu is from Nsukka local government extraction of Enugu state, Nigeria
” I sincerely to appeal Enugu state governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Senator Okey Ezea representing Enugu north at the red chambers (NASS), Chidi Obetta representing Nsukka/ Igbo Eze South and Denise Agbo representing Igbo Eze North/Udenu Federal constituency at green chambers of the national Assembly and Engr. Chinedu Asogwa incumbent chairman Nsukka local government council and Enugu state chairman of traditional rules HRM Igwe Sir. Samuel Asogwa (Okenwa Ogadagidi) and traditional ruler of Ubogidi/ Edem ancient kingdom and the general public for assistance.
