Enugu; APC Elects New Grassroots Leadership
…Ushi Takes Charge in Igbo-Etiti Council Area
Kennedy Ushi has been elected Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area.
The election took place during the party’s Local Government Congress held at the council headquarters in Ogbede, where new executives and National Delegates were also chosen.
Those elected as National Delegates include Rt. Hon. Eugene Odo, Hon. Stella Ngwu, and Mr. Samson Ezea.
The Returning Officer, Barr. Peter Ugwu, praised members for a peaceful and orderly congress.
In his acceptance speech, Ushi thanked delegates for their trust and pledged to promote unity, strengthen grassroots mobilization, and reposition the party ahead of future elections.
Stakeholders described the exercise as free, credible and transparent and urged the new leadership to focus on expanding membership and consolidating party structures in preparation for 2027.
