Enugu – The Accord Party candidate for Ezeagu Constituency in the 2027 Enugu State House of Assembly election, Mr Francis Adinde, has unveiled an agenda focused on job creation, agricultural industrialization, education, healthcare and tourism.

Adinde, popularly known as “Ifekaego”, said his proposed legislative priorities would promote economic growth and improve living standards across the constituency’s 20 wards.

He pledged to pursue agricultural estates and processing hubs for cassava and oil palm, revive the Premier Cashew Industry in Akama Oghe and the Ajali Owa Water Scheme, and modernise local markets to stimulate employment and investment.

On education, he proposed improved teachers’ welfare, professional development, retirement benefits and scholarships for outstanding WAEC candidates in each ward.

His agenda also includes upgrading primary healthcare facilities, strengthening child protection and developing tourism sites such as Ọgbagada Waterfalls, Ezeagu Cave, Iheneke Lake and Okpoku Waterfall.

Drawing on his surveying and geospatial expertise, Adinde said he would support measures to resolve boundary disputes and promote affordable housing by addressing fraudulent rental practices and excessive agency fees.

He explained that implementation would require legislation, stakeholder consultations, budgetary advocacy and collaboration with the executive and private investors.

Adinde pledged regular performance updates, insisting that effective representation should be judged by tangible results rather than the number of bills sponsored.

“Our people deserve representation that goes beyond promises. Transparency and good governance must guide every decision,” he said.
