ABAKAKIKI – The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, has commended the people of Izzi Local Government Area for their solidarity and continued support for Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and the party.

Emegha spoke at the grand finale of the APC mega chairmanship campaign rally on Wednesday that held at Iboko, headquarters of Izzi LGA,

He said the massive turnout at the rally demonstrated the confidence of the people in the leadership of Governor Nwifuru and the achievements of his administration.

The APC chairman urged the people of Izzi to sustain their support for the administration and vote for all the party’s candidates in the forthcoming council election.

Emegha’s remarks came as the APC chairmanship candidate, Mrs Helen Nnenna Aduga, received the party’s flag ahead of the election.

Aduga described her emergence as a significant milestone, particularly for women, and expressed appreciation to Governor Nwifuru and the party leadership for the confidence reposed in her.

She pledged to work with the people of Izzi to promote development, unity and improved welfare, while urging residents to support her candidacy at the polls.

The rally also featured the inspection and commissioning of various projects executed across the local government during the tenure of the outgoing council chairman, Barr. Stephen Emenike Nwakpa.

The event, which was massively attended, was the last lap of the party’s local government campaigns ahead of August 22, 2026, when Ebonyi will elect grassroots leaders who will pilot their affairs for the next three years.
