Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has charged the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Izzi Council Area, Mrs Helen Nnenna Aduga, to consolidate his administration’s development agenda at the grassroots if elected.

Nwifuru, represented by his Deputy, Mrs Patricia Obila, gave the charge on Wednesday at Iboko, headquarters of Izzi LGA, during the grand finale of the APC mega chairmanship campaign rally ahead of the August 22, council elections.

The Governor commended the people of Izzi for their massive turnout and continued support for the APC, assuring them that Aduga would sustain and build on the administration’s achievements at the grassroots.

He also praised the outgoing chairman of Izzi LGA, Barr. Stephen Emenike Nwakpa, for the numerous projects executed during his tenure, for reflecting his administration’s commitment to delivering on “People’s Charter of Needs” to the people.

The Governor urged the people of Izzi to sustain their support for the APC and its candidates, stressing the importance of continuity in the implementation of government programmes.

The rally was attended by party members, members of the state executive council, lawmakers, traditional and religious leaders, and support groups.
