2027: Ebonyi APC Cautions Against Purchase Of Without Consulting in Governor Nwifuru

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Stanley Okoro Emegha, has urged party members aspiring to contest elective positions to first seek the approval of the Governor before purchasing nomination forms.

Emegha made this known in Afikpo during the inauguration of the Ebonyi South Senatorial Zone chapter of the Grassroots Advocacy for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (GATFON).

He warned that any aspirant who proceeds to purchase nomination forms without the Governor’s consent would be wasting both time and resources.

Describing Governor Nwifuru as a just and impartial leader, Emegha noted that the Governor remains committed to fairness and equity across all constituencies in the state.

He further cautioned aspirants against being influenced by social media pressure or paid endorsements, emphasizing that the Governor and the party would ensure due process at the appropriate time.

“Let me use this opportunity to advise all of us, especially those seeking elective positions, to seek the Governor’s counsel before going to purchase nomination forms. Because anything outside the Governor’s directive is a waste of resources.

“I feel i should give you this advice because very soon APC will start selling forms. Don’t buy any form without the Governor’s directive. Any money you pay to party is non- refundable. I don’t want anyone to come to me saying, please help me to recover my money. I advise you to wait for the Governor’s directive. He knows all of us, and he is committed to ensuring justice in all the constituencies” he said.

Emegha also praised GATFON for its dedication to promoting good governance, stating that both President Tinubu and Governor Nwifuru have performed commendably and deserve re-election for second terms.

In his earlier remarks, the State Coordinator of GATFON, Patrick Anayo Mbam, explained that the group was established to highlight the achievements and policies of President Tinubu and Governor Nwifuru, as well as to mobilize grassroots support ahead of the 2027 elections.

He tasked local government coordinators within the zone to spread the re-election message of both leaders across all wards.

Speaking on behalf of the local government coordinators, the GATFON Coordinator in Edda Local Government Area, Dick Agwu Dike, assured Emegha who also serves as the State Patron of the association of their commitment to delivering victory for President Tinubu, Governor Nwifuru, and all APC candidates in the zone in 2027.
