The people of Edda Clan in Ebonyi State have reaffirmed their total support for Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to achieve electoral victory come 2027 General Elections.
This position was made known during a consultative meeting held at the Abakaliki residence of the State APC Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, where Town Union Presidents, Secretaries and women leaders from across Edda gathered to review the political situation in the area.
Speaking at the meeting, the stakeholders unanimously pledged to respect and support the Governor’s decisions, particularly on the political direction of Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency, insisting that Edda remains firmly behind his leadership.
They commended Governor Nwifuru for what they described as visible developmental strides in Edda, including infrastructure projects, educational opportunities through local and international scholarships, and decisive security interventions that helped prevent escalation during the Amasiri/Ọkpọrọjọ crisis.
Chief Emegha urged the people to remain united, avoid divisive narratives and strengthen the APC at the grassroots, stressing that Edda has no reason to oppose a government that has continued to prioritize its welfare.
