The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appreciated President Bola Tinubu and Governor Francis Nwifuru for what it described as a peaceful, transparent, and credible House of Representatives primary election across the state’s six federal constituencies.
Speaking through the party’s State Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the APC said the exercise would not have succeeded without the leadership and support provided at both national and state levels.
“We sincerely appreciate the national leader of our party, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his unwavering commitment to democratic values and continued support for the growth and unity of our great party across Nigeria,” Emegha said on Saturday.
The party also praised the National Working Committee under National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda for issuing clear guidelines and maintaining effective oversight. According to Emegha, the directives helped standardize the process and ensured that delegates and aspirants operated on a level playing field.
At the state level, the APC singled out Governor Nwifuru for commendation, saying his commitment to peace and neutrality created the right atmosphere for a smooth election. “Our special appreciation goes to our dear Executive Governor, Rt. Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his exemplary leadership and unwavering support in ensuring a transparent and credible primary election,” Emegha stated.
The party further lauded the APC National Assembly Primary Election Committee, led by Barr. Kennedy Ekong, for conducting the exercise professionally and in strict adherence to party rules in Abakaliki/Izzi, Ebonyi/Ohaukwu, Ezza South/Ikwo, Ezza North/Ishielu, Ohanivo, and Afikpo/Edda constituencies.
Emegha extended appreciation to party leaders, delegates, youth and women groups, security personnel, and members for their discipline and orderly conduct.
Congratulating the newly emerged candidates, he said their victory was a call to greater service and humility. He urged members to close ranks ahead of the 2027 general elections, adding that unity would be key to delivering overwhelming victory for the APC in Ebonyi State.
