The peaceful conduct and overwhelming success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Ebonyi State have been credited to the calm, strategic and inclusive leadership style of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Chinedum Magnus Nkah, made this known during the weekend while reflecting on the just concluded presidential and other party primaries across the state.

From APC the secretariat, Hon Nkah said the smooth and violence-free exercise was not accidental but a direct result of Governor Nwifuru’s peaceful disposition and political maturity, which ensured that party members conducted themselves responsibly throughout the exercise.

Describing the APC primaries as “highly peaceful and successful,” he said the governor’s wisdom and leadership prevented what could have degenerated into avoidable conflict.

“Many people may not appreciate what peace means until there is violence. When there is crisis, houses are destroyed and lives are lost. But when a leader prevents such breakdown, people often overlook the achievement because nothing bad happened. That is exactly what Governor Nwifuru has done for Ebonyi,” the commissioner stated.

Nkah, who led the presidential primary election panel in Ohaukwu Local Government Area, noted that the process mirrored what was witnessed across other parts of the state hence orderly, credible, transparent and peaceful.

He also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for securing overwhelming support during the presidential primary, attributing the victory to the president’s performance and visible developmental strides across the country.

He expressed optimism that the APC would replicate the same impressive victory in the 2027 general elections.

The commissioner further praised Governor Nwifuru for what he described as “unprecedented infrastructural transformation” in Ebonyi, saying the governor’s developmental footprint has become visible in virtually every sector.

Speaking on the water sector, which falls under his supervision, Hon Nkah said the Nwifuru administration is making historic investments aimed at ending water scarcity in the state soonest.

According to him, billions of naira have been committed to laying modern water pipelines and upgrading supply infrastructure across the capital city and surrounding communities.

“In the water sector, much of the work happens underground, so people may not immediately see it. But very soon, when water begins to flow consistently into homes and businesses, Ebonyians will fully appreciate the magnitude of what this administration has done,” he said.

He assured residents that the long-awaited transformation in potable water supply would soon become evident.

Hon Nkah therefore urged Ebonyians to remain steadfast with the APC, stressing that both the state and federal governments have demonstrated genuine commitment to the welfare of the people through massive road projects, urban renewal, and people-oriented policies.

“Ebonyians should stay focused with APC. The development across the state and the unprecedented federal attention under President Tinubu speak for themselves. Ebonyi has never had it this good,” the Commissioner declared.
