Ebonyi State Governor, Rt Hon. Francis Nwifuru, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Southeast is focused on securing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The governor was speaking on Saturday at Okpara Square, Enugu, where he joined Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the flag-off of an empowerment programme for over 5,000 women across the Southeast.
Gov Nwifuru, who reaffirmed the APC’s determination to win all contestable positions in the forthcoming general election, said the party would resist any move capable of undermining its candidates.
“Our project is how to deliver our President, and that is our project for now.
“We are for all the APC candidates,” – the governor declared.
He also described the APC as the only political party with an open manifesto, adding that its programmes and policies were available for public scrutiny.
Gov Nwifuru further assured party members that all necessary arrangements had been concluded to strengthen the APC’s position in the region stressing that the empowerment initiative was in line with the Renewed Hope Initiative.
The event, organised by the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, was themed “One Region, One Vision: Empowered for Progress.”
It brought together women and key political stakeholders from the region to mobilise support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027
The wife of the Ebonyi State governor, Chief Mrs Mary Mauldine Uzoamaka Nwifuru, also attended the event.
