The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned party stakeholders against anti-party activities, insisting that all members must unite and support the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The State Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, gave the warning during a meeting between the State Working Committee (SWC) and stakeholders from Afikpo Local Government Area at the party secretariat in Abakaliki.

Emegha stressed that party members must close ranks, set aside personal differences and work collectively to ensure APC’s victory at the polls.

Responding, the Afikpo Local Government Chairman, Hon. Timothy Nwachi, assured the party leadership that stakeholders in the area were committed to the success of all APC candidates, irrespective of their perceived shortcomings.

Nwachi said several meetings had been held to reconcile aggrieved members, noting that efforts to restore peace and unity were yielding positive results.

The Commissioner for Skills Development, Prof. Ajuka Nwogo Obasi; immediate past council chairman, Hon. Uchenna Ibiam; Chief Donatus Ezeogo Aja, and other stakeholders supported the position, pledging their commitment to the party’s candidates.

The APC National Treasurer, Chief Mathew Uguru, who attended the meeting, urged aggrieved members to embrace peace and unity in the interest of the party.

Uguru commended Emegha for his dedication to strengthening the APC in Ebonyi State.

The SWC also held an interface with the 64 Development Centre Coordinators, 13 Local Government APC Chairmen and 171 Ward Chairmen.

These engagements with various stakeholders indicate that the Ebonyi APC is leaving nothing to chance in its quest to secure a landslide victory for all its candidates in the 2027 general elections.

However, observers are keenly watching to see how the strategy will influence the outcome of the polls in the state.
