Enugu: LIMCAF Gives Out N3m at 2025 Art Exhibition
The Life in My City Art Festival (LIMCAF), says the overall winner of its 2025 Grand Finale Art Exhibition in Enugu will smile home with a whooping sum of N3 million.
LIMCAF Programme Manager, Ms Adaora Oji-Ngwu, disclosed this during the opening ceremony of the exhibition at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Conference Hall in Enugu.
She explained that winners of various art categories would be rewarded with N100,000 each, including endowment prizes.
Oji-Ngwu said that the organisation received more than 750 art works from artists across Nigeria, disclosing that only 100 best art works selected from the regional exhibitions made it to the grand finale.
The programme manager hinted that panel of distinguished juries would carefully evaluate the selected art works ahead of the Gala and Award Night, where the overall winner would be announced.
She reaffirmed LIMCAF’s commitment to empower artists and promote creativity, describing the festival as a platform that not only celebrates artistic excellence, but also helps young Nigerians build sustainable careers through art.
Declaring the exhibition open, the Enugu State Commissioner for Arts and Culture, Mrs Ugochi Madueke, said that the event was in line with the vision of Gov. Peter Mbah to promote creative industry in the state.
According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Madueke commended the LIMCAF for not only sustaining the yearly art exhibition but also drawing artists in the country to Enugu to participate in the art festival.
The week-long event would feature many activities while the artists whose works were selected would arrive Enugu on Wednesday.
