President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recorded a landslide victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Ebonyi State, securing all 207,579 votes cast across 13 local government areas, while lone challenger Stanley Osiofor got zero.

The results were announced on Saturday at the APC State’s Secretariat in Abakaliki by Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, who doubled as the State Collation Officer for the exercise.

Presenting the outcome, Governor Nwifuru said the primary election was conducted across all 171 wards in the State, with collation carried out at ward, local government and state levels.

“The total number of registered APC members in the state stands at 215,490, while 207,579 party members were accredited and participated in the exercise”- he said.

Giving a breakdown of the results, Nwifuru announced that President Tinubu won convincingly in all 13 local government areas of the state.

“In Abakaliki Local Government Area, Tinubu polled 15,673 votes, while Stanley Osiofor recorded zero votes. In Afikpo Local Government Area, Tinubu secured 10,713 votes, with Osiofor again polling zero.

In Ebonyi Local Government Area, Tinubu scored 16,413 votes, while Edda Local Government delivered 11,694 votes in his favour.

The President also secured dominant victories in Ezza North and Ezza South local government areas, polling 11,928 and 19,088 votes respectively, while his challenger remained without a vote in both councils.

In Ikwo Local Government Area, Tinubu garnered 19,341 votes, while Ishielu returned 17,501 votes for him.

The collated results further showed Tinubu obtaining 8,406 votes in Ivo, 19,160 votes in Izzi, and a commanding 25,453 votes in Ohaozara Local Government Area, the highest tally recorded in the state.

Ohaukwu Local Government contributed 18,318 votes, while Onicha delivered 13,896 votes, with Stanley Osiofor maintaining a zero-vote record across all local government areas”- the Governor stated.

Governor Nwifuru certified the authenticity of the figures, affirming that the results represented an accurate summary of votes collated from across Ebonyi State.

“I, Nwifuru Francis Ogbonna, the state collection officer, hereby certify that the information contained in this form represents true, correct and accurate records of the summary of the results from the local government areas in Ebonyi State”.

The outcome signals overwhelming support for President Tinubu among party members in the state as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
