By Abraham Ovuoba

ABAKALIKI — National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that the opposition stands no chance in Ebonyi State, and commended party leaders for unanimously backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid.

Yilwatda, who spoke at the grand endorsement rally and inauguration of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium on Monday, expressed confidence that Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru would deliver overwhelming support for President Tinubu in the state.

Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, described the Ebonyi endorsement rally as a strong demonstration of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership. He commended the unity of APC stakeholders and reaffirmed support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the APC in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, said the rally reflected the party’s confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership.

“Today, Ebonyi has spoken with one voice. We wholeheartedly endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and inaugurate the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to take his message of unity, development and good governance to every community. Our support is unwavering because we believe in a brighter future for Nigeria,” Emegha stated.

Former Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Martin Elechi, moved a motion endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 election, citing infrastructure projects, appointments and inclusive governance as evidence of his commitment to the South-East. The motion was seconded by Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, who described the gathering as historic, a symbol of unity and collective resolve among Ebonyi people.

Also speaking, Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State and the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai called for stronger collaboration among progressive-minded leaders in the South-East, in order to shift from an alliance of protest to an alliance of progress and shared prosperity.

The rally ended with enthusiastic chants from supporters endorsing President Tinubu and Governor Nwifuru for re-election come 2027.
