2027 Race: Sen. Nwebonyi Assures More Dividends of Democracy After APC Ticket

The Deputy Chief Whip of the 10th Senate, who represents Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone, Barr Onyekachi Nwebonyi has assured his constituents of greater dividends of democracy following his endorsement for a second term ahead of the 2027 elections.

Senator Nwebonyi stated this while expressing gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and deeply appreciated Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for all his support.

He pledged to build on his current performance, assuring constituents of improved service delivery and sustained legislative advocacy.

“I will continue to do that which made you renew this mandate,” he said, reaffirming his commitment to quality representation and accelerated development across Ebonyi North.

Sen Nwebonyi received consensus endorsement during a Ebonyi North Stakeholders’ meeting at the APC state secretariat on Tuesday. At the gathering, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru put the question of Nwebonyi’s return bid to the crowd, and with no dissenting voice, the stakeholders overwhelmingly endorsed him for another term.

The overwhelming support reflected the Senator’s performance in office. Constituents listed his achievements to include, human capital development, infrastructure projects, and sponsorship of people-oriented bills at the National Assembly describing him as a dependable representative who has amplified the voice and interests of Ebonyi North.
