The Executive Chairman of Britking Ltd, Dr. Kingsley Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, has extended educational and business support to 66 Nigerians from Ebonyi State.

The beneficiaries received the support through the Dr. Ojukwu Foundation at his country home in Ogbuoma, Umunaga, Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the State, where he urged them to use the funds judiciously and remain focused on achieving their dreams.

Represented by the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Mr. Innocent Ojukwu, the philanthropist and engineer by profession said he established the foundation out of his conviction that education remained a powerful tool for transforming lives and building society.

He noted that many young Nigerians had the intellectual capacity to excel but were constrained by economic hardship and limited opportunities.

“A scholarship to an indigent is not charity. It is justice. It is telling that boy or girl, your circumstance will not write your final chapter,” he said.

Ojukwu urged the beneficiaries to maintain good character, discipline and honesty while shunning anti-social groups.

Chairman of the occasion, Prof. Romanus Nwoma, commended the initiative and urged other well-meaning individuals to support indigent students.

Similarly, the traditional ruler of Uburu Autonomous Community, Eze Lazarus Umahi, advised the beneficiaries to use the scholarships judiciously.

Nine empowerment beneficiaries received N1 million each, while seven others received between N200,000 and N500,000 to support their businesses and trades.
