..Wins All 13 LGAs and 171 Wards As Predicted

ABAKAKIKI – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has recorded a clean sweep in the Ebonyi State local government elections, winning all 13 Local Government Areas and 171 wards contested in Saturday’s poll.
Chairman of the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC), Enyi Patrick, announced the results on Sunday, declaring the ruling party victorious across the state.
The electoral umpire boss described the election as peaceful, stressing that the exercise was conducted without major incidents across the 13 local government areas.
Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, who voted at Edupfu Okemini Polling Unit 002, Oferekpe Agbaja, in Izzi Local Government Area, yesterday commended the peaceful conduct of the election and praised voters for their massive participation.
The governor added that the APC was fully on ground across the state, stressing that the party’s total victory was neither negotiable nor an afterthought.
Also, while exercising his franchise on Saturday, the APC State Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, expressed optimism that the party would cruise to an overwhelming victory.
The poll witnessed voter participation across the state as residents turned out to elect chairmen and councillors for the 13 local government areas.
However, the 13 local government chairmen-elect are: Henry Chidi Nwode for Ikwo; Osborne Nweze Umahi for Ohaozara; Mrs Helen Nnenna Aduga for Izzi; Barr. Chinedu Mkpuma for Ezza South; Simeon Onuoha for Edda; Chibueze Odigwe for Ebonyi; Michael Kalu Anyim for Ivo; Chidiebere Alo for Abakaliki; Barr. Friday Nwuhuo for Ezza North; Timothy Nwachi for Afikpo; Ikechukwu Ogbofia for Onicha; Sct. Paul Ituma Eze for Ohaukwu; and Mrs Ifeoma Peace Agwu for Ishielu.
The result gives the APC complete control of the elected local government councils in Ebonyi State.
