… Calls For More Support Unity

The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has felicitated the Muslim community in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud, urging the faithful and other residents to promote peace, unity and peaceful coexistence.
In a goodwill message signed by the state Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the party said the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad provides an opportunity to reflect on virtues such as love, humility, sacrifice, compassion, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
The APC called on Muslims and other residents of Ebonyi to shun actions and utterances capable of fuelling hatred, division and unnecessary tension, stressing that mutual respect and understanding remained vital to the development of the state.
The party also urged the people to continue supporting the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, particularly in their efforts to improve citizens’ welfare through economic development, infrastructure, healthcare, education, human capital development and security.
According to the party, sustained support, constructive engagement and prayers from the people would enable the two administrations to consolidate their achievements and deliver greater dividends of democracy.
The APC further encouraged the faithful to use the occasion to extend love, kindness and assistance to the less privileged, while praying for peace, stability, unity and prosperity in Ebonyi State and Nigeria.
The party wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful and rewarding Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
