Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Associate Professor Joseph N. Chukwu has been honoured with a double recognition following his reappointment as substantive Head of Department and his emergence as the Best Performing HOD of Mass Communication Department by the Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOMS).
The recent recognitions, according to observers, reflect his contributions to academic growth, effective leadership and the development of the Department and the university community.
In a congratulatory message, well-wishers described the reappointment and award as a testament to Chukwu’s commitment, dedication, and positive impact in the Department of Mass Communication and AE-FUNAI at large.
They urged the university don to sustain the excellence and leadership qualities that earned him the confidence of the institution and recognition from students.
Chukwu, who also serves as the Ebonyi State Coordinator of the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), has continued to contribute to the advancement of communication scholarship and professional development in the state.
The congratulatory messages further noted that the double honours were well deserved, expressing confidence that he would continue to provide purposeful leadership and contribute to the growth of the department.
