The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi Local Government Area, Hon. Patrick Orobo, has congratulated the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi, on his 45th birthday and prayed for longevity, prosperity, good health and greater accomplishments.
Orobo made these remarks during a colourful birthday celebration at the celebrant’s residence in Abakaliki. The party was organised by support groups and political associates in honour of the senator. He declared that Senator Nwebonyi’s victory in the 2027 election was assured, expressing optimism that the APC would emerge victorious under the lawmaker’s leadership and popularity after three years in the Senate, while expressing confidence in his political victory ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Representing the chief celebrant, Chief Chris Uchaji, Commissioner I, Ebonyi State Civil Service Commission, described Senator Nwebonyi as an outstanding leader who has demonstrated exceptional capacity, intellect and commitment to the welfare of the people of Ebonyi North Senatorial District through effective representation and humanitarian interventions.
Uchaji prayed for divine wisdom, protection and greater accomplishments for the senator and assured the constituents that Senator Nwebonyi would remain committed to delivering quality representation, infrastructural development and empowerment across the district.
Also speaking, the Coordinator of Ohamadike Progressive Movement, Izzi Local Government Chapter, Prof. Friday Nkwede, described the celebration as remarkable, noting that the senator’s 45th birthday deserved an extraordinary celebration because of his outstanding leadership. He also wished Senator Nwebonyi long life, wisdom, good health and greater political success.
Others who spoke during the birthday party included the Special Adviser to the Governor on Finance and Special Duties, who also served as the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Itumo Nwali Friday; the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Barr. Nnaemeka Nwambam; APC Ebonyi North Zonal Chairman, Hon. Chief John Nwankata; Coordinator of Mbeke-Ishieke Development Centre, Hon. Franklin Nwugwu; and Friday Nwigwe. Alongside other political stakeholders, they commended Senator Nwebonyi’s performance in office.
They respectively prayed for God’s continued protection, wisdom, strength and prosperity for the celebrant while expressing confidence that his achievements in human capital development, infrastructure and empowerment initiatives had positioned him for a successful re-election in 2027.
The high point of the celebration was the official unveiling and cutting of the birthday cake presented to the celebrant amid cheers from guests. The event also featured colourful displays and resounding chants of praise by members of Ebonyi Women for Equity from Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone, who reaffirmed their support and solidarity for Senator Nwebonyi as he marked his 45th birthday.
