…Leaders reaffirm support for Gov. Mbah, ahead of 2027
Contrary to recent claims published by one Linda Okoye alleging that there is a political revolution brewing in Oji River Local Government Area over an alleged breach of zoning arrangement, stakeholders in Achi Clan have dismissed the report as false, misleading and a calculated attempt by opposition elements to create unnecessary tension ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of concerned citizens and members of the APC Mandate Squad in Achi Clan, community leaders, Nze Jeff Uke popularly known as Egbeigwe Jesus, said there is no cause for alarm in Achi or any part of Oji River, insisting that the people remain peaceful, united and firmly committed to the political direction of the All Progressives Congress.
He described the publication as “the handiwork of minor opposition elements” who allegedly sponsored one Ugo Omere to falsely present himself as a spokesman for Achi Clan, stressing that such a claim lacks legitimacy and does not reflect the position of the people.
According to him, Achi Clan has remained resolute in its support for the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose leadership and infrastructural strides have transformed communities across Enugu State.
He particularly commended the governor for ongoing development projects, including the construction of over 35 kilometres of road network linking Achi to neighbouring local government areas, describing it as a legacy intervention that has renewed the confidence of the people in government.
Uke further stated that APC has established a formidable grassroots presence in Achi and Oji River through structures such as the APC Mandate Squad, which continues to mobilise support for the party from ward to zonal levels and beyond.
He added that traditional rulers, town unions and party faithful in the area remain united and fully aligned with Governor Mbah’s vision, assuring that their appreciation for the administration’s achievements would be demonstrated overwhelmingly at the polls in 2027.
“Tomorrow is here. The mandate is total—from top to bottom in Achi Clan,” he added.
