The Vice Chancellor of Ebonyi State University, Prof. Michael Ugota Awoke, has described the All Progressives Congress, APC senatorial primary election in the state as peaceful, fair and well-conducted.
Speaking to journalists at Onueke, Ezza South local Government Area of the state during the exercise, Prof. Awoke attributed the smooth conduct to the visionary leadership of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
The vice chancellor said the decision to adopt consensus by stakeholders of the party had further strengthened unity and order within the APC.
“The process reflected a collective decision taken from the top down and had gained wider acceptance among party members.
You can see by yourself; it is absolutely peaceful, conclusively peaceful, and people are very much happy about it. It has been a collective decision taken from top down. So, it is very, very peaceful and most acceptable,” he stated.
