The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28, 2026, as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-el-Adha celebration.
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Magdalene Ajani, disclosed this in a statement, saying the declaration was approved by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Tunji-Ojo congratulated Muslims at home and in the diaspora, urging Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for peace, security and national prosperity, while also calling for unity and peaceful coexistence.
