Group Throws Weight Behind Nwifuru Ahead of 2027
A support group, christened Progressive Empowerment Project for Nigeria Women, Ebonyi State chapter, has endorsed Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for a second term in office, citing his performance across critical sectors of the state.
The endorsement was received by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, at the party secretariat in Abakaliki on Saturday.
Represented by the State Deputy Chairman of the party, Hon. Alphonsus Nwali, Chief Emegha lauded the group for its show of support and commitment to the administration of Governor Nwifuru.
He urged members of the group to sustain the momentum by taking the message of the governor’s achievements to grassroots communities across the state.
According to him, the support of women remains crucial to the continued success of the APC in Ebonyi State and beyond since it has a national coverage.
Earlier, the State Coordinator of the group, Comrade Mrs. Martina Onuoha Nwamaka, said the decision to endorse the governor was informed by his developmental strides and people-oriented policies.
She said the group was fully mobilised to work for Nwifuru’s re-election in 2027, as well as the victory of all APC candidates in the state.
Mrs Nwamaka also appealed to women across Ebonyi, particularly those in rural communities, to safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards and participate actively in the electoral process.
